kissing barefoot

Here I am, sitting here
Old photographs and new found tears
The moments that we had
That last summer I'll never forget

The days were hot
The nights were cold and rainy
We were in love, outta control, and crazy
We loved kissing barefoot in the pouring rain

Never much to do in this little town
We spent most of our time by the creek behind the old barnyard
I remember we stayed out late kissing barefoot in the pouring rain

Too many days away from you
Hurt to bad so i ranaway to be with you
You took me home
Said you couldn't stay but you loved me and would see me the next day
And we stood kissing barefoot in the pouring rain

I never did see you again but I still have that note you left that says:

Babygirl I love you so
Cant wait to see you again
I hope everythings okay til then
We'll go dancing
I'll hold you in my arms
And we'll go
Kissing barefoot in the pouring rain
