    Lavender Daisies

    Lavender Daisies

Her mom told her that over time,
two drops of purple dye in a
    vase, turn Shasta Daisies lavender,
like when the sun falls just below
eyesight and the sky is painted
    in violets and bluebells.
    Tricycles to bicycles,
    from lavender to purple
    books in school. Learning
    that spring brings baby bunnies
and yellow chickens, and that sometimes
the aurora borealis ribbons meadows of greens
and lavenders over a velvet night sky. On prom
night, lavender satin shimmers calming the nerves
of one who is asked for the first time to dance. Her
heels grew taller, her dress a little longer. Dressed
in white lace embroidered with lavender roses, she
vows her life to the man with a lavender corsage
holding her hand. Small pink bonnets turn
to lavender dresses. Sticky hands from
grape ice sticks and tongues stained
a soft purple. Then one rainy
    day came the invention of
    Lavender Daisies.

Don't know how you did that, must've taken some time. Very artistic -- talk about drawing pictures with words!

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
