    Like A Fool

Time has passed and heard no word
Then one day out of the blue - you call to say, Come and play.
Like a fool I did, but you knew I would.
Do you get you pleasure from playing with my head..
You knew my feelings for you, so you knew I would.
And like a fool I did!!!
I knew you would play me - like you did.
But I still couldn’t say no to you....
So I went just to see you once again.
In someways I wish I hadn’t, but in others I’m glad I did.
But then again, you knew I would!!!
And like always, I’m still the loving fool....

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
