Listen,Do You Hear It?

Listen,Do You Hear It?

Listen, do you hear it
The people speaking,
When no one is around?

Do you listen to the wind?
As it brings voices,
Of our pasts?

If you listen, you hear...
Some call it instinct,
Others, Angels or coincidence.

A whisper in the wind
An echo of the air,
A whistle through the trees

But if we just stopped the excuses
And stopped to listen,
You would be amazed at what you''d hear.

SHHHHHHHHH...
Listen, did you hear that?
Voices ... on the wind

Interesting poetry. I think the word "listen" is used too much in the poem drowning out the other words. Good ending though.

I enjoyed the read. well done. 10 from me

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
