    Little Black Box

Maybe all that left you was hidden inside.
That little black box in your eyes.
Maybe you threw away the key?
But you were too blind to see
    Open up your eyes!

Can a thousand lies make any right?
Can a thousand cold nights make you warm?
Does the world end when you close your eyes?
    Or are you just alone?!
Open up your eyes and see!

As the angel you are comes along
And leaves her heavenly home alone.
Far, far, away, you threw the key.
As heavens calls out, it calls your name to me!

Would you stop leading cupid into misery,
And just fall in love the this man you see?
Could you just stop and realize,
That I got a little black box inside my eyes,
but it’s you, whose got the key!

And we were all missing you
and you couldn’t stop listening to the world.
We were all wishing for your return
And when you come back, when you come back,
let make a thousand nights warm...

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
