    Little Pill

You were the one who through away my pills
Help me find a job and paid my bills for so long
    And I depended on you
Over the years things started to change
It's a different pill but things are the same as they used to be
This time its you not me
Now I'm working two jobs taking care of the kids
They say when's mommy coming home
Well it's kind of like this. It's back again
    Do you remember when
I been there before and heres what I say
Addictions the devil theirs a price to pay
Forever, It's gonna be with you
She stuck by me when I was there
I hope I have the strength to show that I care
    And always love her
    Because lifes not fair
We all need something to pacify
It's that little pill, the thing that gets you high
you need a refill, It's the last one you will.
That day I came home from work
I knew that something wasn't right
You were sitting there and not a kid in sight
I tried to wake you, but you wouldn't come too.
How do I explain that mommy's gone away
Her pain is gone she's in a better place
But daddy loves you somehow we'll make it through
Just me and you, Just me and you.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
