Long Walks

Long Walks

I sat down beside a stream
I felt a soft breeze touch me from above
As I looked up, I saw the face
Of whom I once loved.

Your eyes sparkled like the twinkle in the stars
I felt your breath on my brow
God has a way of bringing you to me
He has made you my angle and only he knew how.

If I walked a thousand miles
Or climbed the highest hill
You would always be with me
I know your love will follow me still

The breeze of the leaves brings me your voice
For our afternoon talks
As I linger down this road
On these very long walks

He brings you to me through nature
so beautiful and so still
At times I can feel your touch
Your presence is so real

The rays of sunshine
send me your smile
When I know your with me on my walks
I seem to manage an extra mile.

Your presence will forever be with me
I treasure this with all my heart
A blessing That God has given me
So we will never be apart

Your with me most every day
Every breath I breathe, every step I take.
When I pillow my head at night
And each morning that I wake

The love I carry in my heart
Was a gift from god above
He only gave me a short time with you
But you gave me a lifetime of love.

There are times when my heart feel so empty
My tears fall like rain
But then i feel a soft brush against my cheek
And I know your here to walk with me again.

These long walks I take
Will someday come to an end
I will cry no more tears
And my broken heart will mend

For when I fling the gates of heaven open wide
And the wonders that my eyes will see
When I step on to the other side
And there standing you will be.

Then we will take our walks together
On beautiful streets of Gold
Where we'll walk hand in hand with our Jesus
And we will never grow old.

Nostalgic memories we retrospect in life and treasure certain moments. the longing and desire in our heart goes really deep down and of course that gives us strength to go on and it also helps us to comfort and heal other broken hearts. May Allah bless you for the wonderful spirit you have . a 10 from me.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
