Look Away

Look Away

Hey you, with your heart in your hand,
You mean well, as you trudge through the sand
You make mistakes, you learn, you live
You never take, you love, you give

But too soon they throw it back, nobody cares
You're tired, you're done, tangled in snares.
The blank faces, they stare, you turn away
Keep your head up, look to a new day

Let it go, let it go, girl, if you can
I know it's hard when no one's your friend
Trudge on, keep walking, hold your head high
Keep that heart close, let trouble roll by

No one can tell you who you are,
Only you know, my friend, reach for the star,
Live in a dream, let go of the power
That others hold over you, when things go sour

Live on for those that live for love,
Seek strength in the Father from above,
And keep your eyes clear, see through the mist
There's always a little light within that darkness.

Lovely write... I feel exactly like it says. Sometimes you want for people to like you and make friends. But life teached us that the best friend we have is our own delf. You have to believe in yourself and not care what others say or think of you. Only god can judge us and guide us but we got to let him take the wheel. Love your writing will be coming once in a while to read some more. Its been a while since i had stopped by but im down with a bad cold and couldnt sleep so decide to drop by. Im one of the oldest here its been some great years till all my ither friebds just went away. But i still come to check it once in a while. Nice to meet you. My real name is Maria aka poett
