looking back
looking back is all i seeone faded little christmas tree
memories of things I did not know
were the presents I had to show
Gifts given were all in fun
all wrapped neatly one by one
Ghost of shadows in the past
were things tattered that did not last
excitement rose to an even pitch
people dancing together without a hitch
peering eyes spied to get one glance
of Reindeer hoofs as they seemed to dance
one more thing brings to mind
giving is better you will find
remember the times we made a fuss
not shared by one but all of us
the taste of the first snow flake
reminds me of snowmen we used to make
before i drift off and sigh
brings a feeling and tear to my eye
