    Lost and Found

As I go my way everyday I see
A shadowy figure that once was me
Searching for something, but never to find
Longing for but not knowing, true peace of mind
Until I opened that door, you know
The one with the handle inside
And I let Jesus in, He knew every tear I cried
He said you don’t have to worry
    There’s no need to fear
As long as you need me, I’ll always be here
Lovers my forsake you, friends will come and go
But I’ll never leave you, this you should know
You see I show you these things,
    That you not forget
And return to a life you would soon regret
I died for your sins, that you not be bound
    Everything you thought you’d lost
    In Me you have found

Very good writing. It could make someone that does not believe think about it.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
