    Love Prohibited

    Broken hearts do bleed
Lies you told now I believed
    Fearful of you leaving me
Tear less nights I cried for thee
    Hope sunk to the bottom
    Empty well of hope now
Emotions stir words I can never say
Thought you were the one I needed
    You didn't even notice
    I was a gift...unopened

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
