But then...
Things happen
Circumstances happen
Life happens
All smiles on the outside...
But at the time no one's laugh'n...

With just another sad love song.
We been dancing to it for way too long.
Stolen moments like a theft...
Broken down til there's damn near noth'n left..
But yet...
I still remain strong.
Simply because I belong...
 To HE....

You see...
It's all in HIS plan, with that I agree...
Because the morning following that very same eve...
To the congregation my pastor preached...
"If someone wants to walk out of your life....Let them leave"

Wasn't that kinda eerie?!?
Now in strong belief...
That GOD put that sermon in he...
Just to speak...
To Me.
And in that very next moment
My mind and my heart was at peace.
Bittersweet..

But still yesterday....
Seems so far away...
Sleepless nights together
With no words necessary to say.
Just us..
Illustrated by nothing but sounds, touch and taste.
Now accepting of how the night is slowly turning in to day.

Wise hearts say no man is worth your tears, and the one who is will never make you cry.
No longer will I question why..
Or wonder if every word ever spoken was a lie...
Because through the volumes of the silence, all I can hear is goodbye...
Bittersweet memories if you could see it through my eyes.

No doubt it will be a lot harder than not...
Proverbial and subliminal they can continue to take shot after shot...
But I will NOT....
Admit defeat.
Confused??.... Of course
Hurt???.....It could be a whole lot worse..
But all I have to do is lay it ALL at HIS feet.

Much stronger than ya'll think so keep try'n to take aim...
Graduated high school in 2001, too classy for all those types of games..
But because my heart was real, I'll never have regrets or be ashamed...
A real woman I am is what I proclaim....

All things happen for a reason or a season.
So NEVER will angry or child-like tones be released from me.
Although I may have been misconstrued...
I ALWAYS remained true...
And despite it all
I ALWAYS will be.

Reminiscent of laughs and cries...
To our unspoken goodbyes...
I can't help but to sit back and sigh.

And smile so bright for all to see...
