Mating call of the soul.

    Mating call of the soul.

I know we've met in times gone by ,
In worlds we've created and destroyed,
Within the recesses that our mind possesses
    From eternity endless void.

I know we've met in many worlds
Of humor and of drama both divine,
Though the costumes are changed and the props rearranged,
the essence is yours and mine.

I know our hearts are that of one
And I know the flame still grows,
Through eons shallow time, creating worlds sublime
    Our love endlessly flows.

I have heard you call in dreams sweet mist,
From afar you sang loves song,
All though my soul wondered near, and my heart strained to hear,
    I could not linger long.

I have searched this world for a love like ours,
I've wept for what I once knew,
Though the memories are dim through this mind of whim,
I know a since of you.

Perhaps you've searched in vain as I,
    To quench loves thirsty cries,
Looking for your fill in an empty lovers thrill
    Of promises and sultry lies.

Now I call to you from this world were in,
From this space this time this life.
My penitence are paid, my illusions are weighed,
I'm past the need for strife.

Come be with me through our autumn years,
Be my very own Amore and,
Leave our footprints in the sand, of worlds we've walked through hand in hand,
And our shadows on the shore.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
