Miss me not.

Miss me not.

I always thought I'd like to fly,
But never quite this way.
I never thought I'd like to die,
Guess I don't get my way.

The world seemed such a scary place,
Way up at the top.
But now it all seems trivial,
Before the sudden stop.

Will my parent miss me
when they get the news?
Or will they even realize
Just what they had to lose?

My girlfriend, she won't shed a tear
She doesn't even know
The pain that I've been going through
Cause I don't let it show.

I've found the world's a scary place
To try to walk alone
When every heart and every face
Seems cold and hard as stone

Everything was picked for me
Even life and love and friend.
Goodbye, good luck and miss me not
At least I chose my end

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
