    Most Pleasurable Day

    Laying under the maple tree
with rays of sunshine upon my face.
The scent of the wildflowers tantalizing my nose.
    Wanting to stay forever.
As I look up into the sky so blue
I can't quite pick out the shade.
Though it was the perfect shade
to hold the most beautiful fluffy white clouds.
Clouds that looked as if God just tossed
white cotton candy into the sky.
    Picking out figures up above
within the clouds so real you would think
they were put there for a purpose or for a story.
Such a peaceful time with the sounds of the
birds, the insects, and the slightest bit of wind.
Just enough wind to cool my face
from any burn from the sun.
And the birds, the music among them
    playing a symphony of pleasure.
The butterflies so many different kinds,
    so many colors and patterns
reminds you of the colors of the rainbow.
The frogs croaking in a near by pond.
Having their own concert, but yet
seems to be taken part of the
    symphony of the birds.
The ladybugs landing upon my hand.
    Such a cute little bug.
What a wonderful part of this big world
that has a calming effect while watching it.
The bees gathering nectar from all the
many kinds of flowers to take back
to the hive that will produce the tastiest honey ever.
    The sun starting to lower.
Wishing my time laying under the maple tree
    would never end.
The darkness even though it is coming,
I will never forget this day.
Because on this most pleasurable day
it was spent with a friend so close to my heart.
    And that friend is you.
