    My Baby, My Angel, My Joy

    My baby
    My one true lady
    A little young girl
    Turning into a pearl
    Singing and dancing
    She's learned to twirl
    her way into my arms
    No one can harm her
    But I did hurt her
    My baby
    I made her cry every night
    Out of her fell the tears
    Out of me fell a shear
    To cut out the pain
    And regain her feelings
    A pain in my throat
    A bulge, a grudge
    I hold against myself
    For hurting her so bad
    I can't believe I made my angel sad
    I'm sorry darling
    Mommy will come back
    And I can hold you
    All in tact
    Except for my tears
    But tears of joy
