A Lifetime

A Lifetime

We all watch and wait
Day by day as if something
Great is to come.
The unknown at best
We must put to rest
To discover
That life's already begun.
Wait for a lifetime
Tomorrow is here
Let go of your regrets
Take hold of your fears.
What is the waiting
Your life is like fire
Fan in the flame and let it burn.
Don't waste your lifetime
Looking for It
You already have that and more
Just don't quit!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
