MY DREAM

MY DREAM

I use to dream
Of makin' my wages
By fillin' books
With written pages
I wanted to write
Books galore
Some crime, fantasy
Even horror
Now I dream
Of writin' in rhyme
To figure this out
Took me much time
I misplaced my dreams
To alciohol and drugs
I couldn't write
While runnin' with thugs
The drugs are gone
My head is clear
Back to writin'
'Bout dreams and fear
For writin' a book
Is still my dream
With poems I can do it
Or so it would seem
So try to keep
This in mind
For the truth in it
You may find
Dreams worth dreamin'
Are dreams worth believing'

Very Good, very inspiring to those who have the same dreams.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
