    Poem Commentary

this poem is for my daughter emily

    my emily

There is no one I know quite as special as you
the most precious moments in my life
come from all that you do

Everything you are,is all that I am
since the very first time i saw you
    and held your tiny hand

    My darling baby girl
    with angel eyes so pure
you are my heart and soul
    the one I most adore

you will always be my greatest  gift
    more precious than life itself
you bring me so much joy and hope
A love like this ive never felt

I am so thankful to God for sending you to me
He knew just who would change my life
    and bring me harmony

    You are so incredible!
so smart and oh so bright
A shining star for all to see
    A brilliant guiding light

When I hold you close and kiss your forehead
When I smell your sweet fragrence and we snuggle in bed
When I hear your tiny voice and the joy in your laughter
When you say "I love you mommy" with a kiss shortly after.

These precious moments are the moments I treasure
"My Emily Moments" I call them....In my heart they will stay always and forever.........

A mother's love is irreplaceable. She is lucky to have you in her life.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
