My Eye's

Look into my eye's and tell me what you see
do they lie or do different people see different things
is it becuase I try to hide what's inside
Look into my eye's
Thoughts racing, life spinning, pulse rising and head aching
what's wrong with me what am I suppose to be
Look into my eye's and tell me what do you see
Jealousy, negativity, selfishness, moody or needy
is that what you see
Wanting to belong, trying to be strong, barely hanging on
Can you see
Love is there, I think, somewhere buried within me
Look into my eye's
A life torn apart, a family falling apart, a marriage with no heart
my whole world comming apart
Look into my eye's what can you see
Is it all a charade, or fun and games
a smile here and there, laughter now and then
times cherished and hopes of love and things cherished
Look into my eye's
Is it confidence you see, high self esteem, a soul
before it's time or love not yet defined
Look into my eye's
Maybe a frightened soul unwilling to let go
or frustrated lonely one longing for love and to belong
Look into my eye's is that what you see
Is it by chance it's this way or happens sake
that when you look into my eye's you don't see me
Who am I, what do I want to be, can you tell me
What do you see
Is it truth, is it a lie, is it confusion,
or is it not time for you to see the true me
Look into my Eye's
and tell me who do you see

Thanks for the in put it is greatly appreciated.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
