My Feelings True

Here I sit, shifting through nostalgic rhymes

Remembering all those times

When I could have expressed my love to you

Shown you my feelings true;

But I was shy, in your presence awed

For I thought you were perfect and I but flawed.

Now you’re gone and I sit alone

For this fate, myself I have condoned.

Memory ridden I sit in despair

Wishing I could once again run my hand through your silken hair

Constantly thinking of your majestic eyes so brilliant

I've set my own fate, for I am hell-bent.

Ever faithful, I shall think only of you

The girl I believed could be my love so true.

i really enjoyed reading this, it was very good ..

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
