My First Time
I've read so many poems
Typed a bunch of reviews
Been thinking of so many of them
I'd like to write a few
I haven't wrote in ages
My pen is full of muck
I have all these white pages
My mind is so screwed up
I thought I'd try to rhyme
But I've always wrote free verse
Finding the words takes so much time
My brain is about to burst
I've wasted so much paper
It's tossed all over the floor
This doesn't look like a keeper
I'm sorry this is such a bore
I think I'll stick to free verse
I'm sure you will all agree
But trying to rhyme, this is my first
Just isn't my cup of tea
