My Love Shall Not Set With The Sun

My Love Shall Not Set With The Sun

This love band
upon my hand
means more to me than gold
for You, Lord, make my soul glisten
like sun-sprinkled snow

You color my horizon
like sun-kissed oils painting heaven's palette

my love for You shall not set
but, grow more luminous and life-like with each dance of the sun

for You gave me the moon
and the diamond-encrusted sky
to light my way when darkness shrouds the earth

Like a life-preserver
Your voice rescues my drowning soul

I no longer fear stormy weather
for i know Your strength will keep me afloat
in treacherous, troubled waters

Though i'm not deserving of Your crown
You lowered Your castle's drawbridge
and decorated my soul
with the finest jewels of Your Kingdom

and though i may stumble into the moat
it's in Your castle i long to be

Your grace made roses bloom in my heart
and for that i owe You fertile soil
shimmering sunlight
and sprinkles
as i cast my beams like candles

but still, it can't compare to Your Northern Light Beauty
painting the sky with swirling shades of celestial glory.

All positive and glowing!

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
