    My rise and fall

But could youth last and love still breed,
Had joy no date and age no need,
Then these delights my mind could move
To live with thee and be thy love.
I never saw so sweet a face
    As that i stood before,
My heart has left its dwelling place,
    And can return no more.
Now i seek bad friends and foes
    Now, the universe, i call,
    Save thou, my rose,
In it lies my rise and Fall
