My Son Bradly

My Son Bradly

                                                        My Son Bradly

Two little teeth and a five foot grin

Make a nice frame for the dimple in your chin

I-I-I and a da-da-da

Start off my day with a tra-la-la

A hurrying and scurrying across the floor

Thump-thump, thump-thump, scoot’n down the stairs once more

One step, two steps, three steps, four

Keeping up with you is quite a chore

The cutest little giggle you could ever want to hear

Makes me want to scoop you up and always hold you near

Pulling Sara’s soft gold hair and yanking on Daddy’s big nose

Or toying with the buttons on all your tiny clothes

A little ray of sunshine, a burst of laughter and joy

That’s my little Bradly – That’s my little boy

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
