My Thoughts Exactly
I came to you with an open heart
You took a piece and tore it apart
So now you've decided to avoid me
Is that how it's going to turn out to be?
I've been trying to forget
Thinking maybe you could have been a regret
Am I going insane?
Or are you really the one to blame?
You told me you were different
But you've proven yourself wrong
You managed to make me believe
Now your words just don't belong
All the words that were spoken
Are hidden behind the confusion
Now I'm left with my feelings broken
Thinking it all was just an illusion
I tried to reach out
You don't answer back
I cant see past my doubts
And trust is what I lack
A man is what you see
But you still haven't proven that to me!
