    Nene

Nene, Oh! Nene. How can I have you?
Under the sun nobody is like you!
Your brain and your legs are beyond compare,
And none is as sensitive as your hair.

Nene, Oh! Nene. How can I have you?
Even the young ones are dreaming of you!
In my childhood years you were so famous,
All mad at you on the months of August.

Nene, Oh! Nene. How can I have you?
    Even carpenters are adoring you!
All of them praise your skill and intellect,
You by yourself is a great architect.

Nene, Oh! Nene. How can I have you?
    Even fishermen are adoring you!
They all go fishing with their companions,
In your case, you do it all alone.

Nene, Oh! Nene. How can I have you?
Even the tailors are adoring you!
They need materials to finish their tasks,
But you, provide yourself and do it fast.

Nene, Oh! Nene. How can I have you?
People of all walks are adoring you! Even God created you with a purpose! Spider as you are, I must not propose.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
