Pain deep inside

Pain deep inside

Fellow teenagers enjoyed and was satisfied,
As they embraced the school year with vigor and pride.

Some of them took their shears and their bucket,
And worked their way to the lawn and faucet.

They trim the grass and wipe the window glass,
A daily routine at the start of each class.

But what is troubling in that young man’s mind?
His mates are done but he is left behind.

Something went wrong with the tools in his hand?
Ask him please! He has to do some errand.

His friend wondered on his strange actuation.
Never before did he catch attention.

Took his shears and put his bucket aside.
Surely there is pain being felt inside.
