    Not So Irrational

    Your arms are too

    Long,

    Your nose is too

    Pointy,

    Your ears are too

    Big,

    Your eyes are too

    Small;

    I couldn’t

    Love you more.

    Each flighty kiss we may

    Share

    Couldn’t make me

    Hunger

    For less,

    Each passionate word you

    Whisper

    Couldn’t lift me

    Higher

    Off these

    Clouds.

    There must be some

    Way

    To stop these

    Roller coaster

    Dreams.

    Think, Girl,

    Be rational.

     

     

    This thirst

    Pulls me closer to

    Home.

    A thirst for

    More

    Of everything;

    More knowledge,

    More reality,

    More world,

    More life.

    But with each

    Smile,

    I couldn’t

    Wish for more

    Beauty.

    For,

    Whatever you may be

    Lacking,

    He would substitute;

    Whatever he has in

    Wanting,

    You may be his

    Everlasting perfection.

    No more

    Thinking,

    Love,

    Unlock your heart.

    Love this poem... so real and touchable. Sometimes poetry gets so fluffy, but this is sharp and to the point. I like how it's choppy, that's how love is.

    love this poem. so pure and real, and unassuming. would be great to grow older but remain unskeptical, able to believe in the good in humanity

    This is a beautiful look at love - when you're able to look past the flaws and imperfections a person has to the heart of them. Good job.

    Kinda choppy, my guess is a child? Like more rhyme, good rhythm. Loved the message, ot the emotion. Just a little polidh would do wonders. Write on.....
