    Once Upon a Night

A night alone but not a lonely night
For I have my sky to speak to
He likes to talk to me faintly
    And sometimes loudly
I can feel him without really touching him
    His vibrations move through me
    But he is not scary
Even though his loud voice reaches far
His voice is a beautiful sound to my ears
He can move the earth with a whisper
He can make the grass dance to his tunes
And make the trees share a waltz
My sky is a warrior tonight
    Strong yet graceful
"Don't take ME for granted," he tells me with a C R A C K of his smile
He keeps me occupied and in 'awe' with his tales
Until we both get tired and start drifting
    Now only whispers I hear
He is getting tired I know
    His voice weakens to softness
    But he is loyal
And he sings me a song
    Until my eyes close
    Then he yawns once more
And follows me into the dark heavens

Step out of the way people, this is what you call a poet that is in tune with the universe, So get a grip, take a lesson from Firefly , 10 plus,,,,,,*

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
