Over You

    Over You

You are fake, that’s nothing new

In your eyes I see no truth

You try so hard just to fit in

Don’t you get it? you’ll never win

Your doing your best, so you say

It looks to me, sin leads the way

Your lameness is a saddened sight

Don’t even bother to put up a fight

The word you speak is just all hype

You used to be a different type

All the words you have are lies

All of it, a waste of time

It’s almost something sad to say

Maybe now I’ll see a better day

By myself I’ll make it through

But I’m so done, and over you

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
