Perfect When You're Pretending

Poem Commentary

You see that your former love lives nothing but a lie...

Perfect When You're Pretending

Hidden in a brush To evreyone you seem lush A mask of perfection But I see your lies Not long before your game dies Taken by surprise A gust of wind blows you back Now that perfection you lack The real you now alive I can see who you really are Everyone sees that perfection is now far Your fake is now gone Jumped away like a fawn Lost in your thoughts No idea what to do anymore Don't come prancing up to me I shall not give you any glee You trapped yourself and locked yourself in Now find a way out Thought I have quite a lot of doubt The truth can get over any obstacle You are now not flawless Your mask gone with the wind Find the truth and let it be your guide You can start again even though you lied

Sounds like such sadness from someone so young, however I do like the poem, it was very deep.

Yes, I am young but I have been though very difficult times, And thank you very much.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
