Sweet Relief

Sweet Relief

Don't hold me back,
I am to be my own self,
Simple as life seems,
Don't take for granted what the heart kills,
Everything that soars by you fills,
Do not let your lust for power,
Cause a riot of blood,
Or a fatal flood,
Take hold an eagle talon,
And fly upon the plains of time,
Lean back and feel the breeze,
Tense up you might,
Though the chains of guilt should hold you down,
I know you are strong and willing,
I beg of you not to go into killing,
Let the rushing river calm your spirit,
The beat of my heart let you love,
Fly as graceful as a majestic dove

I can feel and see your free spirit - and at such a young age - please keep up your spirit and writing

To be fourteen you certinly possess a lot of talent. Excellent write about the desire to be who you are and to let your spirit sail free. 10 from me.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
