I enjoy reading and writing poetry. Always have. I like music, too. To me, they go hand-in-hand. I write very traditional poems and try to keep them current. I like poems that rhyme. I find them more challenging. I look for imagery, flow and content in poems. I tend to appreciate shorter works simply because, I like to read them over and over again, and I find shorter poems to be more powerful. It's easy to get caught up in a poem sometimes and just keep writing though. I try to write in different styles as well. Try different things - rhyme schemes, patterns, word play, etc. As far a poets go, my favorites are Edwin Arlington Robinson, Edgar Alan Poe and Robet Frost. I am also an art fan, art of all kinds, and I love movies, especially the older ones. I am married to a wonderful woman, who is very tolerant of my idiosyncrasies. My life is good.
