Greetings, retiredt! You are a pillar of strength for having to fight cancer. I've just prayed for you. Teachers are some of the brightest souls on this planet, and inversely, the most underpaid. I don't know how much you've looked around in this site, so I thought I might point you in a better direction. I think you'll be very surprised to know that there are indeed some seriously brilliant poets here, both amateur and published. Go to 'Meet Poets' across the window's top, and toss in names such as: mlea, Kmooney, gogant, laydbak1, etc., or, you could also just follow me around, either way. And I've a couple doozies myself - check 'em out! Peace to you, retiredt.

Thank you for your prayers. It means a lot to me.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
