The Gates Are Open

The gates are open, won't you come on in?
The gates are open, won't you come on in
Jesus is waiting for you.
Come and join the flock.
Don't be a stray.
Jesus, the Good Shepherd, is waiting for you.
If you are wandering alone in the wilderness,
Or have lost your way.
Don't be a stray.
Look for the path, go to the gate, and come on in.

Quiet green pastures, clear blue skies,
and pure clean water are waiting.
Don't be a stray, come join the flock today.
The gates are open, won't you come on it?

Admission is free, Jesus said, "Just believe in Me."
My Father's House is open to you.
Just give yourself a chance and you will see
The treasures waiting for you and me.

Don't mind if I do take the honors of being the first to review, lol! Jesus is king forever! This entire planet is a version of His spirit. Btw, I may be wrong, but it sounds like you may be overdue for some of nature's therapeutic surroundings. If you can, get out to a local hiking trail with a supportive friend. If not, you could at least buy some nature CDs & DVDs. One positively engaging CD is "Spiritlands: Musical Visions from the Southwest" - John Huling. Btw, with your talent for clarity and truth, write another - pick one line from this one and build a new poem. Because - poetry is a form of prayer! And, when you have the time, I'd love it if you read one or two of mine. Thanks, and be blessed!

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
