Questions to find a hero

Every day we look for a hero to save or fix the day as we go.
The questions are, What makes a hero?
Is it just one?
Is it someone that you can call for help?
Is it someone that just wants to help?
Could it be a soldier?
What is a true hero?
Is it a man or a women?
A teenager or a child?
Is it a human or animal?
Does it matter if there old or young?
Should we care if their Black, Hispanic, Oriental ,or White?
Should it make a differents if their a Christian, Pentecostal, Jehovah, or free believers?
The way to answer this is it shouldn’t matter at all. As long as a life is saved who cares who did as long as it was done.
Ask your self.
If it would matter to you if it was your life that was the one that need to be saved. Would you really care who as long as you got to see the ones you love and the sun come up the next day?
Would you take your own life just because someone is different?
You need to ask your self one question just one.
Could you stand there and do nothing if someone was needing a Hero?

The truth is the there are heroes out there every day. May it be a E. M. T. a fire fighter, a policeman, a animal, a doctor, a soldier, or a stranger. The point is no matter what color, race, or religion the world has to many heroes just to pick one.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
