"A Birthday wish"....
When you were born I never thoughtthat things would be this way;
That I would have to do some time,
A price I'm forced to pay.
But while I'm gone I'll do my best
to do all that I can;
To be your dad behind these walls
and lend a helping hand.
To help you grow into a man
the best way I know how,
and steer you clear from things
I've done, is what I'm trying now.
In 91 my wish came true,
When God gave me a son.
So on this day when you were born,
be sure and have some fun.
And as you make your Birthday Wish,
be sure you keep in mind...
That sometimes wishes do come true,
As one day you will find.
