Ready When You Are

Ready When You Are

Quietly, you sneak in

Thinking, hoping no one noticed

You don’t want to talk about it

You don’t want them to see

Scars so deep must be buried even deeper

So afraid you’ll be judged

Terrified of the pain it could bring

If only they knew

But, I see without judgment

My heart filled with compassion

I’m waiting for you to be ready

Ready to uncover the wounds and let them heal

I’m here for you, and I want to help

Let me show you the way out of this darkness

Show you there’s light, there’s hope

There’s even love

It isn’t my place to force you

Your readiness needs to be in your timing

No, I haven’t given up on you

I’m just patiently waiting

Hoping you’ll talk this through

Take my hand, shed your tears

I’m here for you, ready when you are

To unveil the power healing can bring
