Remember Me as it is written

Too many trials come before my eyes, so many battles I've won! I face more temptations before I lay my body down to sleep. But I still thank my Creator who holds me under His wings. For He's the only one who truly loves me more than the people around me.

Before I go to sleep I try to let my loved ones know that I love them. And thank the Lord for everything that He's done for me.

But let me tell you this- And I hope you will remember it as long as you live. If I don't make it for tomorrows sunrise, please know that I have loved you all through hard times, good times, bad times, sinful times, and heavenly times.

When I open my eyes the next day, I thank my God for giving me another day for experiencing the things I didn't do yesterday. I also thank Him for the sunshine, rain, snow, wind, calm, cold or hot. But most of all, for holding my soul upright.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
