Return of the Spring Birds

Poem Commentary

After a long winter the first sounds of the Blackbirds and crackles are such a joy to hear.

Return of the Spring Birds

Early in the morning,
The sun sneaks it's dawning.

Hay, hear the redwings and grackles,
Do they ever have a wonderful cackle?

The first call that you hear,
Can bring a jolt to your ear.

Spring has sprung!  Oh, what fun!
We are finally on the downhill run.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
