    Reversing In Time

    Reversing In Time

If one could go back and re-live what you would,
Would it be as easy as you think it could?
Walking forwards and you fall in a rut,
Just press reverse and your back on your luck.
You fall in a hole and you drop down low,
You press reverse and it’s a brand new show.
And if all your wildest dreams don’t fall though,
Just press reverse is all you do.
    But life not’s that simple,
    It’s tested and true,
Your life is what you make it,
    It’s all up to you.
But if one could go back to re-live what you could,
Would it be as easy as you think it would?

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
