    Sadly Waiting

    Waiting here alone I frown,
    Drooping eyes colored brown.
Why must I wait so long for you to arrive?
Why must I wait so long to feel alive?
Feeling so down and out, but wait,
I hear the door, you may be late.
But it wasn't you and again I sit alone,
Waiting to hear, " Baby I'm home."
I watch the seconds click by on the clock,
    Tick tock, tick tock.
A minute feels like an hour,
    My stomach is feeling sour.
Wishing I knew where you were,
My htoughts start running into a blur.
Wondering what it is you're doing,
Trying to remember great times, like when you were tattooing.
Suddenly I realize I have no reason to worry,
And I know you're attempting to get home in a hurry.
It's just waiting is the toughest thing,
A Queen awaiting the arrival of her King.
In this fairy tale that is my life,
Where one day we become man and wife.

    Sad and touching

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
