    Safe

I feel his touch across my arms.
His fingers slowly moving down my legs.
His soft lips on the back of my neck.
Arms holding me tight, never letting go.
Running his hands through my hair.
Our legs wrapped around each other...
Feeling as though nothing can harm me.

When he holds me the world stops.
As he softly speaks I hear nothing else.
His kisses send chills through my body.
    His touch warms my soul.
I feel as safe as a new born child in his arms.

He's miles away and I still feel safe.
I hear his voice and my heart pounds.
I find myself unable to breathe...
As I look into his deep green eyes.
    His voice, smile, and touch
Make me feel warm and safe...
As though no evil shall ever harm me.

Our love shall last till the end of time.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
