    Senseless

What is freedom, but an escape from a distant land?

Hanging to the loving memory of your touch

    Holding your delicate hand

Grasping for the words blown by the insolent wind

Needing your every second of time

Expecting to be the one you need

Feeling as the revolving doors close in

    Staying beautiful and thin

Is a hard act to follow

Pink and blue pills to swallow

Finding strength to hold on to a rope

Washing my face with glycerin soap

No, I won’t ask for your provisional dope

    Nor will I beg forgiveness.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
