Shadow

Shadow

A warrior of darkness, the face of children's fear, you travel with me through the light, hearing all i hear,
You are me, and yet you are not, its an odd kind of bond, i have brains and i have brawn, but you do also at the dawn,
You are my family, you are my best friend, you are all that of me can make sense, you know where i'm going and you know where i've been, all that i am is known to you, my silent friend.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
