She of darkness and light

She of darkness and light

She walks both paths
Both dark and light
She shows no fear
Towards jeers
Towards spite
She guides their souls
Demons and angels alike
She turns them towards
The path that's right

As for the wanderers
Not demon nor angel
She watches over them
Whispering courage in their ears
Helping them to discover
Discover their calling
The team to join
Angels or demons
Or will they continue to wander?

She's saved dozens
Though millions remain
Alone she cannot set the pieces
For the ultimate game
Many more like herself
Seek to guide those lost
Though many themselves
Have wandered off
Never to be heard from again

She too had struggled at once
But soon found her path
As the bearer of light
Easing those of their wrath
Her gentle touch
Soft beauty, kind words
Led many through the night
Coaxing them to the angels
But even angels have different sides

Dark angel, light angel
Both hold some good
Though dark leads to mischif
More than light sometimes would
They get along well
But disagree at times
She alone is undefined
Though light she may be
Things aren't always what they seem

Once she'd loved a demon
With her he changed sides
Now a dark angel
With secrets that he hides
From her whom he loves
But soon realized
For her protection
He must say good-bye
Though she continues to guide those to their sides
From her pain she's become a little more wise

Never has she failed a soul
No matter what method she need
Never had she failed to identify
A soul she was to lead
Though now and again light does fall
And give rise to the night
Rarely ever does it stay at twilight
Neither evening nor dawn
Just somewhere in between

I thought this was amazing, it tells a beautiful story of love and pain and it also gives you a little bit of hope...awesome job :-)

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
