Uncertainty
Once sheltered,
Now on her own,
She sulks through life,
Feeling alone.
At the end of 17 her life changed,
Now she has an infant on the way.
At 18 she is engaged,
Living with the guy she barely knew.
Together with him of 8 months,
Pregnant for the past 7,
Engaged for only 4,
And still very unsure.
Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
