...She...

Poem Commentary

About a year or so ago I met this absolutely beautiful woman at a bar. She approached me & was interested in getting to know me. She was a straight woman but also very curious about being with another woman. She asked for my number & left. She called me later that same night & we talked for a while getting to know each other. After talking with this woman for a few days we both became very attracted & interested in one another. Come to find out she has a boyfriend of 2 years. A very abusive controlling boyfriend. So I wrote her this to let her know how I felt about the situation & offered her my help if she wanted to leave him.

...She...

Her beauty skyrockets through the atmosphere

Like a shooting star so powerful & amazing

Yet so dangerous & explosive

I gaze into the blank stare upon her ocean blue eyes

She’s screaming for attention so quietly

Her desire to be loved fades away from what she knows

The past becomes a memory not forgotten but released

Just as her soul is set free from the reality of everyday life

Pain & fear emerge from her heart

To hold on to something so vicious

She, for once, feels the freedom of not being controlled

Decisions made on her own without an influential voice

Persuading her every word

She deserves a chance @ true happiness & love

So much potential to do anything & be amazing @ everything

Failing to realize exactly how perfectly unperfect she can be

Laying naked self conscious seeing flaws that are non existent

Her body shaped like an hourglass

Not knowing what the time is

Her own thoughts decieving her mind

She hides from herself

...& She will never realize...

beautiful----it's never hopeless...........................

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
