    Silent Scream

    SILENT SCREAM

         Some people scream

    with head tilted back ,

    with vicious words

    the world they attack .

         Some people scream

    with needle in arm,

    trying to find

    a fantasy charm .

        Some people scream

    grasping bloody tipped knife

    stabbing into

the midst of their life .

        But I scream

    a scream,

    a silent scream

out of a dream of fear .

    I scream

    a scream,

    a silent scream

that no one seems to hear .

        Some people cry

    with tears from their souls,

    yearning for love

to make their hearts whole .

        Some people cry

    with tears from their eyes,

    reliving the past

    drowning in lies.

       Some people cry

    having no love,

    dodging troubles

    that rain from above .

        But I cry a cry

    a silent cry,

    with blood

    as drops of tears .

    I cry a cry

    a silent cry

    that burns

like a hot iron sears .

        Some people scream

    for failing a dream,

    knowing the past

    cannot be redeemed

        Some people scream through

    protest and war,

    yelling that doomsday

is right at the door .

        Some people scream

    that all has gone wrong,

    that the Earth is losing

that there is no more song .

        But I scream

    a scream

    a silent scream

    that comes from

    a dying heart .

    I scream

    a scream

    a silent scream

    that would tear

    your soul apart .

        Some people cry

    because they're always alone,

    slowly they become

    emotions of stone .

        Some people cry

    because they're always in need,

    never enough for

    the children they feed .

        Some people cry

    for no reason at all,

    surrounding themselves

    with an invisible wall .

        But I cry a cry

    a silent cry

    with tears

    you cannot see .

    I cry a cry

    a silent cry

    you can hear

    only in my reality .
